Our global manufacturing customer is looking for a senior data engineer with strong software development skills to augment an internal, multi-site team that develops critical decsion support for the sales of the enterprise. In the assignment you will collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners and engineers to further develop a service to generate contacting triggers based on the data captured from installed base of the equipment fleet.
In the role you'll ensure that the service meets the business requirements and quality standards set by the customer. You will take a technical ownership of the user-facing features of the service under development, and lead the design and development of the features "end-to-end". You are also welcomed to participate in the development of the way-of-working of virtual development team, according to the engineering best practices.

- Continue the development of a critical data-driven service, in a lead developer role
- Improve the development, testing and deployment practices to ensure the high performance and quality of the service
- Interact with the product owner and users of the service to collect feedback and further development needs
To be successful in the role you'll have:
- Strong experience in data & software engineering
- Experience in concepting data-driven products and services
- Good working knowledge of automated testing and DevOps
- Experience with refactoring existing code base for improved quality and performance
- Solid experience in designing and implementing data-driven services with AWS stack (e.g. Athena, Glue, S3) & Python
- Experience with Databricks is a plus but not mandatory
- Previous experience in working in international, multi-site teams is a plus, but not mandatory
