Our enterprise client from the technology sector is looking for a senior data engineer to augment a skilled internal team to further develop its financial data platform on Azure. In the assignment you'll work together with a data architect, lead developer and more junior data engineers to enrich the financial data platform with new data sources, esp. with ERP data. You'll have an end-to-end responsibility to ingest new ERP data sources, and to implement ETL/ELT pipelines to bring the data to Azure Synapse and to make it easy to use for the new BI and other analytics use cases.
Based on the strategic decisions by the customer, you may later participate to a migration of existing Synapse workloads to the Databricks platform.

To succeed in the role you have
- Strong experience in implementing analytics solutions on Azure Synapse, good understanding of Synapse notebooks
- Rock solid SQL and Python skills
- Experience in modeling ERP and financial data for reporting and analytics
- Project experience with Databricks, lakehouse implementations a big plus
- Can-do attitude, willingness to work in an international team, in the enterprise setup
