Project Overview:
Our client is building a next-generation data platform to support complex modeling and digital twin scenarios—enabling simulations of diverse production environments such as factory floors, assembly lines, or maritime vessels. They require a Senior Azure Cloud Architect to design and optimize a secure, scalable infrastructure that powers advanced modeling, large-scale data processing, and high-concurrency workloads.
Key Objectives:
- Implement a robust Azure-based architecture (AKS, Storage, Monitor) that supports multi-tenant digital twin simulations.
- Establish a scalable, highly available environment to handle complex modeling workloads efficiently.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and operational tasks with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD methodologies.
- Ensure strong security, compliance, and performance monitoring to maintain platform integrity.
- Collaborate closely with internal development and data teams to align the infrastructure with evolving business and technical requirements.
Your Mission:
As a Senior Azure Cloud Architect, your mission is to architect, deploy, and refine Azure infrastructure that can rapidly scale, remain cost-efficient, and meet stringent performance and reliability targets. By working closely with internal stakeholders, you’ll ensure the data platform can support advanced modeling, digital twins, and simulation workloads—ultimately driving faster innovation and value delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Architecture & Deployment:
- Design and implement an Azure-based infrastructure utilizing AKS and other Azure services for large-scale modeling workloads.
- Apply multi-tenant design patterns to support diverse customer scenarios efficiently.
2. Automation & Cost Efficiency:
- Employ IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Bicep) and CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and improve delivery speed.
- Continuously assess cloud spend, optimizing resources to balance performance and cost.
3. Performance Monitoring & Stability:
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Azure Monitor) to ensure reliability and quick incident resolution.
- Address bottlenecks proactively, minimizing downtime and maintaining seamless user experiences.
4. Collaboration & Documentation:
- Work with development and data teams to understand requirements, provide architectural guidance, and ensure robust deployments.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including architecture diagrams, IaC codebases, and operational playbooks.
Competencies:
- Azure Architecture Expertise: Demonstrated ability to design, scale, and optimize Azure-based solutions for complex workloads.
- Kubernetes & Multi-Tenancy: Proficiency in AKS and container orchestration, with experience supporting multi-tenant environments.
- Automation Proficiency: Skilled in IaC and scripting to streamline deployments and operations.
- Analytical Problem-Solving: Adept at identifying and resolving infrastructure challenges under time-sensitive conditions.
- Clear Communication: Capable of translating technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Adaptability: Open to continuous learning and evolving technologies to enhance cloud capabilities.
- Security-First Mindset: Experience implementing robust security measures within cloud environments.
Position Details:
- Remote position with flexible working arrangements, subject to meeting project timelines and deliverables.
- Professional English proficiency is required for effective communication and documentation.
