The beginning of the year 2023 was a time of change for our network and operations, as we became a subsidiary of Finland's leading technology agency Finitec Oy. AI Roots brand remains independent and the existing core team continues in their current roles. This is great news to our network members, as we become stronger in solving our customers' versatile technology and data resourcing needs, and offering the entrepreneurs in our network better service and project opportunities.  

We have developed a unique concept that brings entrepreneurs and companies together in the data industry, which enables companies' data teams to scale flexibly and with high quality. At the same time, we actively collaborate with our customers to search for roles and projects that match the skills of the entrepreneurs in our network. We offer entrepreneurs the freedom to choose projects and customer relationships that best develop their own expertise. In addition, we offer support to entrepreneurs with a community of other top experts in the data industry.  "Our goal from the very beginning at AI Roots has been to create a new and scalable solution for solving the growing demand for data expertise. The merger with Finitec is a logical step, with which we can now together continue to serve Finnish companies by bringing the entrepreneurial know-how to wider use, while offering our entrepreneurs more interesting project opportunities." rejoices Teemu Birkstedt, who will continue working as the AI Roots board member.

 With the merger of Finitec and AI Roots, the range of IT experts in the joint network will increase and the special expertise related to data will be strengthened. Both companies still belong to the Bravedo community, and through Finitec, to the Fusion Ecosystem. Finitec and AI Roots have already experience of working together through Bravedo community.

We believe that we will get a lot of new perspectives from each other for the development of our combined operations and thus make us even stronger players in the field." says Finitec CEO Pekka Hackspik.

With the merger, Markku Seraste became part of AI Roots' core team transitioning to the team from Finitec. He brings to AI Roots expertise in developing high quality service towards freelancers and our customers. In addition, Markku has extensive experience in managing IT projects, which is a valued area of expertise in our customer base. The current team of AI Roots, Ari Rantanen, Iiris Lahti, Max Rantakallio will continue in the core team as before and Teemu Birkstedt as the member of the board. Some effect to for example monthly invoicing practices and contact details can be expected, but we will inform separately the ones impacted.
